Project Opioid Broward
While the COVID-19 pandemic dominated lives over the past year and a half, the opioid epidemic has been surging – exacerbated by the stress of job loss, threat of evictions and the consequences of stay-at-home policies. According to the Department of Health, in 2019, Fentanyl Overdoses increased by almost 52% in Broward County.
Join the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Foundation, in partnership with the Florida Blue Foundation and Project Opioid Florida as they officially launch Project Opioid Broward. The goal is to educate business, faith, and community leaders on how they can help save the greatest number of lives through building a coalition, creating a regional overdose initiative, and promoting high-level advocacy.
