Phishing attacks and scams have thrived since the COVID pandemic began and today, phishing attacks account for more than 80 percent of reported security incidents. During Cybersecurity Awareness Month pay close attention to emails, text messages or chat boxes that come from a stranger or someone you were not expecting. Think before you click on any suspicious emails, links or attachments and make sure to report any suspicious emails to your service provider and/or employer.

Work Skills Scholarship Program - Graduation

Work Skills Scholarship Program Graduation


The City of Hollywood graduated 12 students in its first Work Skills Scholarship Program cohort.  The City partnered with OIC of South Florida and offered training courses in Construction Operations and Warehouse & Logistics.  Both courses, held over 12 weeks, prepared participants for entry-level positions in the selected career path. The goal of the program is to advance work skills initiatives in the City’s low to moderate income neighborhoods. Congratulations to all of the graduates!
