The Department of Public Utilities hosted two public workshops this summer to discuss the City's ongoing Stormwater system assessment and flooding mitigation plans. The workshops were an opportunity for the public to share their past experiences with flooding events in Hollywood as a way to help guide the development of the Stormwater Master Plan. Issues discussed included flooding, existing storm systems, water quality, low-lying elevations, effect of climate change, infrastructure and resilience.

About the City of Hollywood Stormwater Master Plan Update (SWMP)
The SWMP will review and update the City’s stormwater system to mitigate flooding and adapt to climate change. The assessment aims to identify and prioritize areas that experience flooding and will generate a series of stormwater Capital Improvement Projects to mitigate flooding in the City.
