The City envisions a project that is thoughtfully woven into the fabric of the existing residential neighborhood.

- Within the Downtown Core Opportunity Zone and has a land use as Regional Activity Center.
- Located in the southwest quadrant of Hollywood Boulevard and US 1, east of Dixie Highway and west of US 1.
Property Location Overview
The site is within walking distance to Broward County Transit bus routes and offers easy access to shops, restaurants and businesses located within the City's urban core. The site possesses all the right elements for a successful multi-family residential housing development. A few blocks to the north, significant public investment has taken place along Hollywood Boulevard, as well as to the east and west of this site. The City received grant funding through the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization to implement “Complete Streets” roadway improvements on Hollywood Boulevard from City Hall Circle to the historic downtown district. Zoning changes were also completed in the City’s Regional Activity Center (“RAC”) to incentivize redevelopment along this corridor in an effort to spark reinvestment in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Affordable Housing Summary
The Purchaser will agree to use this property for, or through a program to create an Affordable Housing option, either on the subject site or at an alternative location. Affordable Housing is defined by HUD at 24 CFR Part 570.3 [80% income limit or less] and allows the City to:
- Utilize the property for affordable housing
- Dispose of it in accordance with procedures applicable to the disposition of real property by the City of Hollywood
- Exchange for another property that will be committed to Affordable Housing
