TAFT STREET
Eastbound Taft Street just east of Dixie Highway/ N. 21st Avenue will be closed Wednesday, March 11th through Thursday, March 19th to allow for construction crews to install a new water main under the FEC/Brightline railroad tracks. The westbound lane and pedestrian sidewalks will remain open and unaffected during construction. Eastbound traffic will be detoured north on N. 21st Avenue to Harding Street to N. 20th Avenue. Motorist should seek an alternate route to avoid delays.
JOHNSON STREET
Eastbound Johnson Street just west of Dixie Highway is closed at the FEC/Brightline railroad crossing now through Friday, March 13th. The closure is necessary to allow contractors to install a new water main line underneath the tracks. The westbound lane will remain open and unaffected and access to the adjacent properties on the south side of Johnson Street will be maintained. Pedestrian sidewalks will also remain unaffected during construction. Eastbound traffic will be detoured northbound on N 22st Avenue to eastbound Garfield Street.
14th AVENUE
A full closure of 14th Avenue from Johnson Street to Polk Street will take place from Monday, March 16th through Thursday, April 16th between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The Florida Department of Transportation is constructing shared use pathways along 14th Avenue boarding the Hollywood Beach Golf Course as part of their 14th Avenue Mobility Improvement Project. Traffic will be detoured through N. 13th Avenue between Johnson and Polk during their daily operations.
