Heavy rainfall overnight has resulted in flooding in portions of Hollywood particularly areas east of US-1 between Pembroke Road and Sheridan Street. Flooded streets have also been reported along Park Road from Pembroke Road to Washington Street, between Hollywood Boulevard and Johnson Street and some area north of Sheridan Street near the Lakes of Emerald Hills neighborhood.
The Hollywood Police Department and Emergency Management have deployed high profile vehicles in the area. There are reports of flooding throughout the Hollywood Lakes neighborhood from 14th Avenue east to the Intracoastal Waterway. Motorists should use caution when encountering street flooding, turn around and avoid driving through these areas.
The National Weather Service in Miami has an areal flood advisory in effect. The heaviest storms are expected to move out on Monday morning, however, there could be some lingering showers and low clouds through late Monday morning into Monday afternoon as the flood waters recede.
