Additional Lane Closure on Hollywood Boulevard at 21st Ave: Thursday, November 7 - Friday, November 8
Construction is set to begin along 21st Avenue between Tyler Street and Van Buren Street in downtown Hollywood as part of the the City's watermain replacement project. A temporary lane closure of the southeast lane along 21st Avenue is necessary to allow for construction crews to complete this work. For motorists traveling north on 21st Ave, they will be directed to the western most lane beginning at Van Buren Street. They will not be allowed to turn east on Hollywood Boulevard on November 7th & 8th.
Motorists traveling westbound on Hollywood Boulevard who are seeking to head north on 21st Ave or trying to continue westbound, they will be detoured via 20th Ave to Tyler Street. The only motorist that will be allowed to continue westbound on the Boulevard will be those seeking to turn south onto Dixie Highway. For motorists traveling eastbound on Hollywood Boulevard or southbound on Dixie Highway and are seeking to head east, they will be detoured via S Dixie Highway to Harrison Street.
All possible measures will be taken to help minimize the impact on residents in the area. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route to avoid possible delays.
