UPDATE AS OF 8/13/19 at 8:15 a.m.:
The boil water advisory is still in effect for a water customers on Washington Street between 7th Avenue and 14th Avenue. Utility crews completed repairs to the 2" water main line around 6:30P last evening (Aug 12th), and the water service to these impacted addresses was restored. The first of two bacteriological water sample will be taken this morning. As soon as "negative results" are obtained for consecutive days, then the precautionary boil water advisory will be lifted. Until then, impacted customers are still being asked to boil water intended for consumption.
POSTED 8/12/19 at 5:30 p.m.: Utility crews are working to repair a water main line at 1140 Washington Street in the Harbor Islands Community. The break occurred earlier today (August 12th), and is impacting water service in the community .
A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for this area including properties at 700 through 1332 Washington Street between 7th Avenue and 14th Avenue. These water customers are being advised to boil their water before consumption until further notice. Crews will shut off water service to this area for a few hours to make the necessary repairs. They expect service to be fully restored by midnight.
