[ARCHIVED] Have Your Association Apply Today for Neighborhood Capital Improvement Funding

Neighborhood Capital Improvement Program

Calling all eligible Neighborhood and Civic Associations, now is your chance to submit a project for up to $13,000 to be funded in your neighborhood.. The Neighborhood Capital Improvement Program was developed by the City to work cooperatively with eligible Neighborhood and Civic Associations to identify capital improvement and beautification projects that can enhance the safety and/or aesthetic appearance of their low-to-moderate income (LMI) neighborhoods, compliment other City initiatives and encourage community involvement. Neighborhood Capital Improvement Program projects will be funded by Community Development Block Grant funds.

Associations in LMI neighborhoods that are eligible to receive funding for neighborhood projects are as follows: Beverly Park Civic Association, Boulevard Heights Neighborhood Association, Downtown Parkside Royal Poinciana Civic Association, Driftwood Civic Association, Highland Gardens Civic Association, United Neighbors of South Hollywood, Hollywood Gardens West Civic Association, Hollywood Hills Civic Association, Hollywood Lakes Civic Association, Lawn Acres Civic Association, Liberia Civic Association, Liberia Civic Association, North Central Civic Association, Park East Civic Association, Park Side Civic Association, Playland Estates Civic Association, Washington Park Homeowners Association. The maximum amount of funding available in this program is $13,000.00 per project, with a limit of one project per eligible neighborhood. The proposed improvement must be located on publicly owned land within a low-to-moderate income area. The deadline to apply is close of business on August 15, 2019.
