As part of the “Let’s Keep Hollywood Beautiful” program, the Department of Public Works will be holding a free paint distribution event at 1600 South Park Road on Saturday, October 13th from 8:00 a.m. until noon or while supplies last. Single-family homeowners and non-profit organizations in Hollywood can receive up to 20 gallons of high quality recycled exterior latex paint. To participate, residents must provide a current driver’s license with Hollywood address and a current utility bill as proof of Hollywood residency. The paint colors currently being offered are off white, beige, terracotta, gray, and turquoise. Distribution is on a first come, first served basis while the City's supply lasts. 100% of the latex paint collected through the Broward County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program is recycled into new, high-quality exterior paint which is then provided to participating cities at no cost. For more information on Operation Paintbrush, please contact Public Works at 954.967.4526.
Please Note: 1600 South Park Road is not a paint drop-off site. Old paint can be dropped off at the Broward County Household Hazardous Waste Residential Drop Off facility located at 5601 West Hallandale Beach Boulevard on Saturdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
