[ARCHIVED] Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Recycling Drop-Off Event

Broward County is hosting a household hazardous waste and electronics recycling drop-off event in the southwest quadrant of City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard for Hollywood residents this Sunday, April 15th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Residents must provide proof of Hollywood residency, which may include a driver’s license, utility bill or tax bill for participation.

Items accepted include:
Aerosol products
Ammonia
Ammunition
Antifreeze
Auto fluids
Auto batteries
Boat batteries
Boat fluids
Charcoal starter
Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs)
Drain cleaners
Electronics*
Fertilizer
Fire extinguishers
Fireworks
Flares
Fluorescent tubes
Gasoline
Herbicides
Household cleansers

Insecticide

Kerosene
Lawn chemicals
Lighter fluid
Mercury thermometers
Motor oil
Nail polish remover
Paint
Pesticides
Photo chemicals
Pool chemicals
Propane tanks
Rechargeable batteries
Rust remover
Solvents
Spot remover
Tires (limit 4)
Turpentine
Weed killer
Wood stain
Wood stripper

Electronics include TV’s, computers keyboards, printers, copiers, and DVD and VCR Players

The following items will not be accepted: business or government generated waste, explosives, biohazardous waste, microwaves, stereos, speakers or appliances.
