Hollywood Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department reminds you now that Hurricane Irma has passed, it is time to remove the storm shutters from your home or business. Blocking escape paths with storm shutters can be a fire and life safety hazard. A fire has the potential to double in size every 30 seconds, not leaving you a lot of time for escape or rescue especially if you are barricaded in by storm shutters. For your safety, Fire Rescue asks that you please take down your storm shutters.
