Do you own a business in Hollywood? If so, it’s time to renew your local business tax receipt.
Maintaining an active local business tax receipt is required for your business to be in compliance with the City of Hollywood Code of Ordinances and Florida State Statutes. The City of Hollywood Treasury Division has sent out renewal notices to all businesses with active business tax accounts. If you own a business or rental property in the City and don’t have business tax receipt, stop by the Treasury Division at City Hall during regular business hours 7am to 6pm, Monday through Thursday, to fill out your application and bring your business into good standing. Applications are also available online: http://www.hollywoodfl.org/494/New-Transferred-Businesses.
Renewal notices include a return address envelope for those business owners preferring to pay their local business tax by check. For those who find it more convenient to pay online, you can visit the payment center: http://www.hollywoodfl.org/441/Pay. To avoid late payment penalties, all payments are due by September 30, 2017. By keeping your business tax account active and updating your business information with the City each year, you provide important information that can help the City obtain state and federal business assistance. You also allow the City to keep you informed about valuable business programs and services that may be beneficial to the success of your business.
If you need additional information, contact the Treasury Division by phone at 954.921.3225, by email, or in person at City Hall, Room 103, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard.
