Taft Street will remain closed just east of US 441/SR7 in Hollywood. The necessary closure is so crews may reconstruct this section of the road as part of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) SR7 Improvement Project currently underway from SW 25 Street to Fillmore Street. This closure is expected to be completed by Thursday, March 30th pending inclement weather or unforeseen conditions.
Traffic will be detoured around the construction site. Eastbound traffic on Taft Street will be detoured south via SR7 to Johnson Street to 56th Ave then back to Taft Street. Westbound traffic will be detoured north on 56th Avenue to Sheridan Street then south on SR 7 and back to Taft Street. Motorists should seek an alternate route during the construction period to avoid delays.
