[ARCHIVED] Coastal Flood Advisory

Flood Watch picture of flooded street

The National Weather Service Miami Office has a coastal flood advisory in effect due to the higher than normal tides lingering from Hurricane Nicole.  Minor coastal flooding will be possible today particularly during high tide cycles (10:53 a.m. and 10:57 p.m.) Additionally, the surf remains elevated but is expected to gradually diminish throughout the day. Rip currents are expected along both coasts today.

Areas along A1A, Surf Road and the side streets leading to Hollywood Beach on the barrier island could be impacted by tidal flooding along with areas in east Hollywood around North and South Lakes.
