The Florida Department of Health has posted a no swimming advisory at Harrison Street and Minnesota Street due to high bacteria counts. The advisory will remain in effect until their sample results of 70 CFU/100mL for Enterococci bacteria or less are achieved. As such, Hollywood Beach Safety lifeguard towers are flying the double red flags to advise the public that swimming is not currently allowed in these areas. This protocol will remain in effect until cleared by the Department of Health.
