Overview
The Hollywood Fire Rescue Cadet Program is available for male and female participants ages 14 (who have completed the 8th grade) to 20.
The program’s purpose is to afford our community’s youth with the experiences and mentoring that can provide guidance and insight in leading them towards a career in the Fire Service and/or Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
This program fosters methods and practices young people can utilize to gain discipline and become responsible adults.
The program term is from August through June.
Meetings are every Monday (only once a month during summer break) at 6:00 pm
Participants must maintain a 2.5 GPA
Consent to a background investigation
Dues are $45 dollars per term and include:
- Background investigation
- Participation insurance for each individual
- Hollywood Fire Cadet t-Shirt
- Opportunities to earn community service hours for participation in prescheduled specified events
Space is limited and consideration for participation is on a first come, first serve basis.
Currently, we are taking names of interested applicants to be placed on a waiting list.
