Help keep Hollywood Beach beautiful by volunteering for the Hollywood Beach Sweep Clean-Up on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Charnow Park, 300 Connecticut Street and the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Volunteers meet to collect litter and cigarette butts from the sandy beach. Volunteers are asked to complete the registration form found on the City’s website under Beach Sweep. Children, ages 8 and older, are welcome to participate when accompanied by an adult. Gloves and garbage bags are provided to all volunteers along with safety instructions. Remember to dress appropriately, wear sunscreen and bring a completed registration form with you.

Community Enhancement Collaboration and the Washington Park Homeowners Association, along with community partners, volunteers, and supporters are hosting a free back to school event. This event will feature complimentary backpacks stuffed with school supplies; along with fun, food, music and complimentary haircuts for boys and hairstyles for girls. Parents must preregister at www.cecwashpark.org and at least one parents must attend with child(ren). This is an outdoor event, open to the public.
