All are welcome to celebrate our nation’s birthday on Hollywood Beach on Monday, July 4th at the annual Star-Spangled Spectacular 4th of July Celebration. This annual event will feature entertainment beginning at 5:00 p.m. and offshore fireworks display beginning at 9:00 p.m.

The City of Hollywood, Florida will be conducting the Technical Advisory Committee meeting at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, July 5th, 2022 at Hollywood City Hall located at 2600 Hollywood Boulevard, Room 219. Because of the risk to public health, the City is offering a number of options for members of the public to view and participate in the meeting.

BCPA assists Broward county residents with filing for property tax exemptions and related assessment questions by helping home owners apply for homestead exemption.

Help keep Hollywood Beach beautiful by volunteering for the Hollywood Beach Sweep Clean-Up on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Charnow Park, 300 Connecticut Street and the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Volunteers meet to collect litter and cigarette butts from the sandy beach. Volunteers are asked complete the registration form found on the City’s website under Beach Sweep. Children, ages 8 and older, are welcome to participate when accompanied by an adult. Gloves and garbage bags are provided to all volunteers along with safety instructions. Remember to dress appropriately, wear sunscreen and bring a completed registration form with you.

Learn how to prepare for hurricanes, severe weather incidents, fire and other unexpected disasters from emergency management experts. Enjoy giveaways, raffle prizes, presentations and demos. Meet search-and-rescue dogs and explore fire trucks, police vehicles and the Emergency Management mobile command unit.

The Hollywood Police Athletic League (PAL) is partnering with Marquise Brown and his Hollywood Brown Foundation to present a football clinic. The event will include several football skill stations, bounce houses, face painters and prizes for kids. The clinic is for both boys and girls ages 6-16.
