Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Carriage Hills
A Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been issued due to a water main shut off in the Carriage Hills Community. 900 residential homes are in the affected area between Stirling Road and Charleston Street from N 68th Avenue to N 71st Avenue.
Contractors working for the Carriage Hills Homeowner Association shut off water while making repairs to a valve within the community, causing a drop in pressure. As a result of this drop in pressure, the City is advising property owners in the affected area to boil their water for drinking purposes until further notice.
Residents should not consume water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a boil and let it continue boiling for one minute. Only boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation.
The precautionary boil water advisory will remain in effect until two consecutive bacteriological samples come back as negative. As soon as the negative results are obtained for consecutive days, then the precautionary boil water advisory will be lifted.
