Full Closure of Sheridan Street to Vehicular Traffic Planned at Florida East Coast Railway
A full closure of Sheridan Street at the Florida East Coast Railway Tracks (FEC) just east of Dixie Highway is planned for Saturday, March 20th beginning at 6:00 a.m. through Tuesday, March 23rd at 6:00 p.m. If necessary to complete the scheduled work, this closure could be extended to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24th. This closure will allow for crews to safely rehabilitate the existing track, repair the rails and replace crossing surfaces to improve ride quality. Detours will be in-place, however motorists are urged to seek an alternate route to avoid construction delays.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Westbound traffic on Sheridan Street will be directed as follows:
- Traffic on Westbound SR822 will be directed to turn right (North) at US1/ N Federal Highway
- At Stirling Road, traffic will be directed to turn left (West)
- At I-95, traffic will be directed to turn left (South) at I95 SB on ramp
- At I-95 SB, traffic will be directed to exit at I-95 SB off ramp to Sheridan Street
Eastbound traffic on Sheridan Street will be directed as follows:
- Traffic on Eastbound SR822 will be directed to turn left (North) on I-95 NB on ramp
- At I-95, traffic will be directed to exit at Stirling Road
- At Stirling Road, traffic will be directed to turn right (east)
- At US1/ N Federal Highway, traffic will be directed to turn right (south) to Sheridan Street
Full Closure of Hillcrest Drive between S Park Road and S 37th Avenue Begins March 22
A full closure of Hillcrest Drive between S Park Road and S 37th Avenue is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 22nd. The closure is expected to be in place through May 28, 2021. This closure will allow for the completion of the proposed walkway/sidewalk, and installation of pavement and drainage as part of the redevelopment of the Hillcrest Country Club.
Inclement weather and unforeseen utility conflicts may alter this planned closure schedule. Detours will be in-place directing traffic to S. 46th Avenue, S. 37th Avenue, Washington Street and S Park Road. Motorists are asked to seek an alternate route to avoid construction delays.
