  • Parking space in the community is limited. Please do not arrive more than an hour before your appointment time. If you arrive more than an hour before your scheduled appointment time, on-site security guards will not allow you to enter the community.
  • Photo ID and email confirmation of your appointment are required to enter the community and vaccination site.
  • Due to heavy demand, rescheduling of appointments is not possible.

Florida Department of Health - Broward Telephone Appointment System

Appointments for COVID-19 vaccination sites operated by Florida Department of Health in Broward County (DOH-Broward) can be scheduled using the State appointment telephone system. Seniors age 65+ and frontline healthcare workers can call 866-201-6313 to request an appointment. For those requiring TTY access, the number is 833-476-1526. When calling for an appointment, you will be asked via an automated system to enter information using your telephone keypad. Live agents will then call you back to schedule an appointment once appointments become available.

PLEASE NOTE: People who receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at DOH-Broward sites through the new telephone appointment system will be called by the Call Center about 14 days after their first dose to schedule a second dose appointment. People who received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at DOH-Broward sites WITHOUT making an appointment using the telephone appointment system DO NOT need to make a new appointment for their second dose. They should return to the same site on the date written on their vaccination card at the same time as they arrived for their first dose. YOU MUST bring your vaccination card with you.

Florida Department of Health - Broward Appointment Website

The Florida Department of Health in Broward County, along with their partners, is offering free COVID-19 vaccinations to seniors 65 and older at five vaccination sites in Broward County. Vaccines will be available by appointment only for up to 500 new seniors each day, per site. The number of vaccination sites will expand as the local vaccine supply increases. Appointments for drive-thru vaccination sites can be made by visiting https://browardcovidvaccine.com. Due to overwhelming demand, if you find that no appointment times are available please check back again often. Appointments can only be made through this website, please DO NOT call the Department of Health. If you have previously registered for an appointment, you should have received an email confirmation, please check your spam or junk email folders. For all future appointments, a confirmation email will be sent within 48 hours of successful registration.

Vaccination by appointment only will take place at the following locations in Broward County:

  • Tradewinds Park, 3600 W Sample Rd., Coconut Creek. Hours: Sunday-Thursday (Closed Friday, Saturday): 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Vista View Park, 4001 SW 142nd Ave, Davie. Hours: Sunday-Thursday (Closed Friday, Saturday): 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Markham Park, 16001 W State Road 84, Sunrise. Hours: Tuesday-Saturday (Closed Sunday, Monday): 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Central Regional Park, 3700 NW 11 Place, Lauderhill. Hours: Monday-Friday (Closed Saturday, Sunday) 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Site Opens Friday, January 8th)

Once an individual has received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, they will be given a scheduled time to return for their second dose. It is very important to return for the second dose on the day and time instructed to do so.

The availability of the vaccine does not reduce the need for ongoing COVID-19 testing, which remains available for free at many locations throughout Broward County, including the Boulevard Heights Community Center in Hollywood. VIEW BROWARD COUNTY TEST COLLECTION SITES. And while initial data of the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine is encouraging, equally important is to continue to follow safety protocols: wear a mask, practice safe social distancing and wash your hands often.

NEW FLORIDA RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT ANNOUNCED

State of Florida Surgeon General Scott A. Rivkees, M.D. issued a Florida Department of Health Public Health Advisory on January 21, 2021, prioritizing Florida residents for receiving the vaccine in the state of Florida. Prior to providing the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, the provider will ensure the recipient is either a Florida resident or a health care provider working in the state who is providing direct patient care. Residency requirements are defined in Florida Statutes 381.986(5)(b) and do provide some accommodation of seasonal residents. Individuals who received a first dose before this Public Health Advisory was issued will receive the second dose.
