Commission in the Community forums were created to give residents and business owners an opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas with the Hollywood City Commission outside of formal Commission Meetings held twice a month. The forums are held quarterly in different areas of the City. The upcoming Commission in the Community is being held at the ArtsPark at Young Circle,
Residents who wish to speak are asked to pre-register online. In the event of inclement weather preventing an in-person event at the ArtsPark, the open forum will take place virtually via Webex. Pre-registration allows City staff to contact you via email to alert you to a change to a virtual meeting if necessary due to the weather. Each Commission in the Community begins with a welcome from Mayor Josh Levy followed by an open forum moderated by the hosting District Commissioner. This meeting is being hosted by Commissioner Peter Hernandez, District 2 Commissioner. Lawn seating available, bring a lawn chair or blanket for comfort. Please follow CDC guidelines, wear a mask, and maintain a safe social distance.
Please note: Speaker's cards will be accepted at the ArtsPark, however you are encouraged to register and submit comments/questions through the online registration page. This will ensure your comments are submitted for the virtual event if weather prevents an in-person meeting. Please register comments/ questions by October 13th at 3 p.m. If filling out a speaker's card at the event, it must be turned it in by 7 pm.
