City of Hollywood contractor, Florida Sidewalk Solutions, is working to correct 1,349 potential vertical trip hazards in three (3) high pedestrian traffic zones. Construction will cover over one mile of repairs and will be completed in stages, with high hazard locations taking first priority. Repairs will fix vertical slab displacement greater than 0.25", and are at no cost to the adjacent property owner. Work will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Crews will take all the necessary steps to minimize noise and dust, and all equipment will be on the sidewalk, not within swale areas. Repairs will be completed by the end of the same work day. Property owners are asked to remove personal items to ensure a clear work area.
