City of Hollywood Emergency Management staff and public safety personnel have assessed the impacts from the storm and there are no reports of significant damage.    

Garbage, Recycling & Commingled Collections

Waste Pro, the City’s sanitation contractor, will resume the normal collection schedule for Garbage, Recycling and Commingled Material this morning.  Those customers whose garbage and recycling was not collected on Saturday due to Tropical Storm Isaias will have their material picked up during their next scheduled collection.  

Parks, Swimming Pools and Recreational Facilities

All youth sports activities and aquatic activities have resumed.  Additionally all parks, including dog parks, have reopened. 

Sun Shuttle by Circuit Ride Service Suspended

The Sun Shuttle Micro-transit service that provides free rides around Downtown Hollywood and Hollywood Beach has resumed normal service.

Residents can visit www.hollywoodfl.org/emergency for hurricane information.

All State-Supported Testing Sites Closed due to Tropical Storm Isaias will Reopen Wednesday

All state-supported drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 testing sites were temporarily closed in anticipation of impacts from Hurricane Isaias. The sites are anticipated to be reopened at 8 a.m., Wednesday, August 5. Free COVID-19 testing remains available through local County Health Departments. Please call in advance for testing through County Health Department, contact information for all counties is available here. Testing site re-openings will also be posted on  Florida Division of Emergency Management’s social media. The Facebook page is available here and the Twitter page is available here.

While sites are closed, individuals are encouraged to follow all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the recent Public Health Advisory issued by the Florida Department of Health.
