Royal Poinciana Neighborhood Utility Project - Construction Costs: $22,867,926
As part of the City of Hollywood's continuing effort to provide and maintain high quality utility services to its residents, the Department of Public Utilities has contracted with Lanzo Construction Company to begin installing new water mains and a new sewer system in the Royal Poinciana neighborhood. Work will be done in a phases through December 2022 and will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the area of Sheridan Street to Hollywood Boulevard from US1 to N 21st Avenue. Phase I is set to begin on Wednesday, August 7 on 19th Avenue beginning at Sheridan Street heading to Taylor Street.
Residents are asked to refraining from parking and/or placing any personal items within the work zone and the public right-of-way during construction to avoid possible damage. If conditions are identified that will require additional work, residents will be notified accordingly. During the course of this project, residents will be impacted as traffic will be re-routed as necessary to accomplish the work. Access to the project area may be limited at times. Additional notifications advising of road closures will be posted to the City’s website, included in the City’s “News and Announcements” Notify Me email blast, on City social media accounts and via flyer to impacted properties.

City of Hollywood Public Utilities representatives are scheduled to attend the Downtown Parkside Royal Poinciana Civic Association meeting on Tuesday, September 3rd at the Fred Lippman Multi-Purpose Community Center, 2030 Polk Street at 7:00 p.m. to present details of this entire project and to address questions. All residents are encouraged to attend.
