Tired of having flyers and newspaper ads dropped on your front porch, attached to your door knob or thrown on your swale? City Code allows property owners to post a notice by their front door to alert solicitors not to leave their handbills, advertising literature, circulars and pamphlets. The sign should include the words “No Solicitation, No Distribution” Letters need to be a minimum of three-eighths of an inch high. It is against the law for any person to distribute handbills to residences where such a notice is posted. If solicitors ignore this notice and continue to distribute advertising literature to your home, please file a complaint with City of Hollywood Chief Civic Affairs Officer, Lorie Mertens-Black at lm-b@hollywoodfl.org
