The 62nd Annual Candy Cane Parade along the world-famous Hollywood Beach Broadwalk is taking place on Saturday, December 2, at 7:00 p.m. This year’s parade theme “Gingerbread Jamboree” is sure to bring the sights and scents of the holiday season to Hollywood Beach.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair for top-notch viewing of imaginative floats, marching bands and creative displays from civic, non-profit and children’s groups, or reserve a table at one of the many seaside restaurants for a complete alfresco experience. Complimentary bleacher seating will be available at various locations along the parade route from Garfield Street to Polk Street with the parade emcee located in Charnow Park at Garfield Street.
Due to the limited parking options on the barrier island, beginning at 5:00 p.m., parade goers are encouraged to park in one of the downtown parking garages and take the free patron shuttle to the beach. The parking garages are located at 19th Avenue at Polk Street and 20th Avenue at Van Buren Street. Downtown parking rates apply.
Hollywood’s signature event, the Candy Cane Parade is presented in partnership with the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts. For more event information or to enter your group into the parade, please contact Toni Bridges at 954.921.3404.
