The City of Hollywood is working to resume normal services. Crews are assessing storm impact in Hollywood and at this point the impacts appear to be minimal.
Update on City operations:
-The City's Emergency Operations Center is in a level 3 monitoring status.
-The City's sanitation contractor, WastePro, has resumed normal garbage, recycling and commingled material collection based on the normal collection schedule for the City. There will be delays with the collection of commingled materials (brush and hard junk) because the trucks must first dispose of material collected just before the storm, before beginning normal collections. If your normal collection was missed in advance of the storm, your material will be picked up next week as regularly scheduled.
-The City of Hollywood Marina reopened at 10:00 a.m. this morning and will operate on its normal schedule today and throughout the weekend.
-Emergency responders have been surveying damage on a grid-by-grid basis throughout the City to fully assess any impacts from the storm. Residents can help first responders quickly identify areas of devastation by participating in Broward County's Home Damage Assessment Program:

The City's Community Centers will remain closed today. Locked City parks will reopen as soon as possible, assessments are currently underway.
The City has rescheduled several weekend events including Operation Paintbrush. The re-blended paint giveaway originally scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) has been rescheduled to November 12. The monthly Beach Sweep Clean-up planned for Saturday as well as the Italian Festival at ArtsPark have both been cancelled.
