The City of Hollywood is excited to announce the pilot phase of its Art in Public Places Program, a commitment to enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our community through the creation of public artwork. This initiative aims to provide both residents and visitors with the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate art in various forms throughout the city.
The Public Art Review Committee will meet at City Hall, located at 2600 Hollywood Boulevard, Room 215, Hollywood, Florida. The meeting is scheduled for November 30th, 2023, starting at 3:00 p.m.

Planning oversees several of the processes involving new and existing development and redevelopment within the City. Planning strives to provide the highest level of customer service and convenience through the coordination of the development review process.
Planning is committed to ensuring all new construction projects or new businesses within the City of Hollywood have a positive impact on the quality of life, of our residents, businesses and visitors.
This is achieved by Planning's primary responsibility of administering the City's Zoning and Land Development Code. The Zoning and Land Development Code outlines specific requirements regarding permitted uses, building setbacks, use separations, density, height, and location as well as parking, landscaping, signage, and more.

If an applicant believes they are entitled to expedited processing of an application for a building permit or development order, the applicant shall advise the City upon submission of the application of the statutory basis entitling it to expedited processing. The City shall give applications for building permits or development orders that are entitled to expedited processing first priority, and applicants may expect that such applications will be reviewed and processed on an expedited basis.
