The Hollywood Police Department is committed to providing the best possible law enforcement and crime prevention services for every resident and visitor in our city. The Volunteer Mobile Patrol is resource we have put in place to enhance these efforts. After successfully completing training, qualified citizen volunteers in a marked mobile patrol vehicle make the rounds of their areas looking for and reporting suspicious activity.
Requirements for becoming a Mobile Patrol Volunteer:
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
Candidate must reside within the city limits of Hollywood, Florida and be an active member of Citizens' Crime Watch of Hollywood.
Candidate must complete an application, sign a waiver, and pass the background check. Candidate must agree to a yearly or periodic background check.
Candidate must complete twelve (12) hours training before patrolling.
Candidate must have a valid driver's license.
Candidate must be willing to serve a minimum of six (6) hours per month to maintain active status with the mobile patrol.
Candidate must abide by all policies and procedures of this program.
Candidate must agree to attend refresher courses when scheduled.
Candidate can not have any felony convictions.
Candidate must immediately notify the Hollywood Police Department of any criminal arrest that occurs while participating in this program.
